As we consider the safety of our families, it’s crucial to be informed about what is happening in our communities, both in person and online. Human trafficking isn’t just a far-away problem—it’s something that can happen in our own neighborhoods, and often, the signs go unnoticed. That’s why it’s so important for us to come together and equip ourselves with the knowledge to protect our loved ones.
We are committed to partnering with parents to keep our teens safe—both in the real world and in the digital world. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Faith Bible Church and University of Maryland Exchange Marylanders Online to host the Stay Safe: Online and Off event on January 31st. This event will provide important information on how to spot the signs of human trafficking and how we can protect our teens from online dangers. We believe that by working together, we can equip our teens to navigate today’s world safely.
The event is open to the public and is FREE of charge, so please invite your friends, neighbors, and family, especially those with teens. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the event runs from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. We’ll also have light snacks and refreshments.
