Hop on the bus and explore the colorful Calvert County Barn Quilt Trail! Experience 17 unique quilt squares on the trail that showcase local artistry and rich heritage. It’s the perfect way to enjoy scenic views and discover the beauty of these stunning outdoor masterpieces!
The bus will depart at 9am from the Prince Frederick Shopping Center parking lot. From there, you will be taken along the trail throughout Calvert County to view the squares. Program lead, Sue Mills, will educate you on the history and significance of each square. At lunch, the tour will make a stop at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum for lunch at the pavilion and to see the JPPM “Black Eyed Susan” Square. Choose the ticket that includes lunch for a box lunch from Dream Weaver Cafe (choose from 3 sandwich options) or bring your own lunch. The bus tour will wrap up at 3pm with a return to the Prince Frederick Shopping Center parking lot.
The tour bus is ADA accessible, but please note that some barn quilt squares require leaving the bus to view. A little walking is needed for this tour to be able to see all barn quilt squares. Please let us know ahead of time if you utilize a wheelchair so we can notify the bus company prior to the day of the event. We hope you will join us for this memorable event – see you on the road!
