This year’s theme, “The Business of Tourism,” underscores the importance of our tourism sector. The week kicks off with a proclamation recognizing National Economic Development Week. On May 13, county commissioners and ambassadors will visit 15 local businesses, celebrating their contributions and milestones.

A highlight is the “AI, Insights and Tools for Success” workshop on May 15, hosted in partnership with the Small Business Development Center. This session aims to equip businesses with knowledge on leveraging artificial intelligence for growth. Later that day, an after-hours networking event at Mully’s Brewing offers a relaxed setting for business leaders to connect

BAW exemplifies Calvert County’s commitment to fostering a thriving business environment, recognizing the resilience and innovation of our local enterprises
