Mission:
The mission of the Calvert County Rescue Dive Team, established in 1987, is to provide trained, volunteer-based underwater search, rescue, and recovery services throughout Calvert County and surrounding areas. The team supports public safety agencies during water-related emergencies, using specialized dive training, equipment, and sonar/search capabilities to protect life, assist families, and serve the community when called upon.

Purpose:
The purpose of the Calvert County Rescue Dive Team is to maintain a ready and capable emergency dive response unit for incidents involving missing persons, boating accidents, vehicle recoveries, evidence recovery, storm-related water emergencies, and other public safety missions. As a volunteer organization, the team also works to educate the public on water safety, support local emergency services, and raise the funding needed to keep equipment, vehicles, boats, and dive operations mission-ready.
