Following the announcement of its spring trip, the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce is excited to present a second international travel opportunity for 2026: a 9-day tour of Sunny Portugal, departing October 14, 2026. This curated journey with CI Destinations invites the business community to explore a country with the oldest borders in Europe, known for its superb cuisine, fine wines, and hospitable people.
The adventure includes seven nights in first-class hotels and covers the breadth of Portugal’s rich culture and scenery. Highlights of the itinerary include exploring the historic capital of Lisbon and its traditional Fado music houses ; visiting the picturesque villages of Sintra and Obidos ; and touring Porto, the nation’s second-largest city. The trip also features a wine tasting and boat tour in the world-famous Douro Valley and a cruise on the canals of Aveiro, nicknamed “the Portuguese Venice”.
The cost for this all-inclusive experience is $4,099 per person for double occupancy. A $100 discount is available for travelers who book with a $450 deposit by March 31, 2026, making the final price just $3,999. The rate includes roundtrip airfare from Dulles, 7 nights in first-class hotels, 11 meals, all sightseeing and admissions per the itinerary, a professional tour manager, and more.
